I think my gripe is that i feel like i've read 4 books and we are only just getting to the plot? It just feels like there has been so much unnecessary filler in the other books, andthat all 4 of these could have been combined into one 500 page book and had us leave off here. Also - THREE pages after Kalona comes back the book ends. How 'bout you let us down a little easier? Talk about an abrupt end ... untamed is another fast paced read which was better written than the previous in the series. The story begins to develop in this book as it moves off from Zoey's personal life to actually having a purpose. Aphrodite's character becomes more in depth likewise with the rest of them. The voice of Zoey is more mature and it is a much preffered read. With a few humorous lines in the story to lighten it up this is probably the best so far in the House of Night series. The only annoyance is that things are repeated constantly, such as description of her grandmas use of cherokee words and the twins likeness. This book is a series and is bound to be read in order the need to repeat everything is unnecessary and i did skim read in total of about ten pages of what i didnt need to know. A vida se complica quando seus amigos estão furiosos com você. Basta perguntar a Zoey.
I love the series.
Life sucks when your friends are pissed at you. Just ask Zoey Redbird - she's become an expert on suckiness. In one week she has gone from having three boyfriends to having none, and from having a close group of friends who trusted and supported her, to being an outcast. Speaking of friends, the only two Zoey has left are undead and unMarked. And Neferet has declared war on humans, which Zoey knows in her heart is wrong. But will anyone listen to her? Zoey's adventures at vampyre finishing school take a wild and dangerous turn as loyalties are tested, shocking true intentions come to light, and an ancient evil is awakened in PC and Kristin Cast's spellbinding fourth House of Night novel. More and more darkness is developing at the House of Night and without the comfort of her friends Zoey is finding it a little more difficult than usual. In one of Aphrodite's visions Zoey's Cherokee heritage comes into play with an old legend. The old legend does not bring good things to come, instead it brings nothing but danger and suffering, but it also involves her Grandmother. With Grandma Redbird in danger Zoey asks her Grandmother to come stay with her. Another bit of knowledge in this novel is that crows and ravens are not the same thing, but I will leave you to figure that one out.
Untamed is my favorite in the series so far. It combines a lot of people, the past and the present, and it sends us on a lot of twists and turns. Yes it continues to be a little repetitive and corny, but that to me makes it worth reading. If you're on the third one and you're not sure to go on or not at least read this one and then you will be hooked trying to decide if good will triumph over evil. ( )
