Johnny Duane Reed has always made sure that he never cared for someone. He sure as hell doesn't want to fall in love, either! However, he can't help it when Cindy (aka Tinkerbell to him) is kidnapped by a Aisan war lord to become his person sex slave. Reed stops at nothing to get Cindy out of danger but danger seems to follow them all over Indonesia. ( )

3 1/2 - 4 stars3rd in the Black Ops Series. Johnny Duane Reed and Crystal Debrowski.Johnny is a pretty boy and playboy. Crystal, aka Tinkerbell, is a redheaded pixie who looks like she could be a bimbo, but really has a brain and brawn to go with it.When Crystal is kidnapped by Yao Long to be his sex slave, Johnny takes off for Indonesia to save her. He is unsure why he is so drawn to her, but he follows along anyway. Both characters are commitment-phobic, but Johnny more so than Crystal. I'm not sure why other than he just thinks he isn't good enough. Both hide their true-selves behind an exterior that is in contrast to who they really are--Crystal looks like a bimbo, but is strong and smart; Johnny looks like a pretty boy out for a only a good time, but he is kind, compassionate, and caring. I enjoyed the book, just not as much as the others. I took much longer to read it (almost a week to the normal 1-2 days). I'm not sure why, but I think it is because it felt like in so many places the book could have ended. It had lots of rising and falling in action--just when it seemed it was done, something else would happen. Not bad, just easy to put down.I still give it close to 4 stars. I'm looking forward to more in this series. ( )
