Just as fun and funny as the first two, this third installment will please fans. Although I've found all of them to be a touch too long, this was still highly enjoyable. ( )This is the third in the Larklight series. Set in a universe where the Aether is real and it can be navigated in specially powered sailing ships the British Empire spans the Solar System. Due to its control of the technology required to travel the aether it looks unassailable until an armada of Moths appears in the orbit of Georgium Sidus (Uranus). And then our heroes from the house of Larklight and their friends embark on a dangerous, exciting and really quite silly adventure to save the Solar System and the British Empire once more. I adore these books. Spaceships, Aliens, Victorians, Proper Manners, Ladies fainting, heroic Pirates, they are all hear and fantastic fun. Well recommended. Reports of a strange phenomenon at the fringe of the galaxy and its connection to one of Father's old friends send the entire Mumby family, accompanied by Jack and other friends, to a far-off planet where they must find a way to prevent a new invasion of the solar system by giant moths. no reviews | add a review
