I finished Into the Dark last night and then started The Spirit of the Place which I received as an Early Reviewers book a long time ago. Actually, I should say which I won as an ER book a long time ago but only received a few months ago. So far, it seems pretty good so I am hopeful.

I didn't "snag" an ER copy of The Spirit of the Place, but I got a reviewer copy from the publicist in July. It took me a while to get around to it, but I posted my review here on LT today. Frankly, if you haven't gotten your copy yet, I wouldn't view it as much of a loss. ;-)

I liked Spirit of the Place but I got the impression from the reviews that most others didn't. It did take me a little bit before I got into it, but it was compelling enough even in the beginning that I made the effort. OMG OMG OMG!!! I finally got The Spirit of the Place! Today! YAY!

Seeing the people who've recently gotten The Spirit Of The Place has me hoping I may actually get it before vacation is over and have time to get started on it. Once I go back to work Sunday night I may be coming home too tired to do any reading for a few days.

At least six more of us have gotten Spirit of the Place in the past few days. Mine was posted from Ann Arbor on July 3rd. I'm enjoying it so far, so I hope they get caught up on everyone soon....
