What a great beginning for a series! I read this one in about 2 hours the same day I recieved it. Hot guys who sorta aren't guys (you MUST read it!!) but are hot all the same. A dandy plot which will apparently carry though the series and enough guys to make the series last a good long time. Woo Hoo ( )

A unique twist on the paranormal fantasy. I've always loved the writing of Nina Bangs but this new series is going to be great. Fast paced and I hated to put it down. ( )

A paranormal romance novel that centers around a fantasy-ized version of otherkin. Characters have animal souls and use the word otherkin. However, they're NOT like otherkin in real life: these guys have tangible magic, body-snatching, social politics that could only happen in fantasy context, etc. You can read some of it on Amazon Online Reader. I really enjoyed this book. It was a departure from Bangs normal style in that it had a better developed plot and characterizations. The premise behind the Gods of the Night was really clever and made me want to read more. Nina Bangs did a good job on the erotic elements of the book as well. Good read. ( )

OMG OMG OMG!!! RUN, right now...get up and GO GET THIS BOOK! If you are looking for something totally new and different in the paranormal genre, you've found it. "Eternal Pleasure: Book #1: Gods of the Night" is one smoking read. If you don't want a glimpse into this new world...then don't read any further.

They are the 11...the Gods of the Night. Their enemies are the Lords of Time and they feed on fear, death, and chaos. The current time cycle will end on 12-21-12 as forecasted by the Mayan calander. Then, the next cycle will begin. The aim of the Lords of Time is for the next cycle to begin without humanity, but the lords themselves are not allowed to kill humans. To that end, they have spread out into major cities to foment unrest among the Otherkin: vampires, demons, witches, weres, etc and use them as their killing army. Humanity's only hope are the Gods of the Night.

Fin is their leader and a freaky, scary leader he is. He protected their essence over millions of years and has now pulled them back into the world (and into the bodies of drool-worthy men!) to fight for humanity. Each of the 11 is a human body (mmmmmmmmm) containing the soul of a predator. When Ty awakens as a human it's very difficult for him to restrain his beast. It's not until he meets his driver, Kelly, that he slowly finds she is able to calm his predator. Ty is learning to become human and Kelly is learning that this world is NOTHING like she thought. Evil exists and she may have no choice but to join the battle. To save her family, herself, and the man/creature she's coming to love.

I'm trying really hard not to give away the premise of this book...but it's so hard not to. I love the plot, I love the execution of it. The love scenes are smoking and the growth of feeling between Ty and Kelly is touching. I am truly desperate for the next release in this series. I'm hooked. ( )

Amazon.com Book Description (ISBN 0843959533, Mass Market Paperback)

THE ELEVEN--an alliance of ultimate predators. Primal, lethal, irresistible.

THE PROPHECY--an ancient Mayan prediction that the world will end on 12-21-12.

THE PREY--where can you hide from pure evil?

Kelly Maloy opens her car door to much more than a great looking stranger at the Houston airport. Terror, desire, and a horrible truth climb in with him. She's only supposed to drive Ty Endeka around the city for a few weeks. Too bad no one tells her that once day fades she'll become part of a battle fought in the darkened streets with an enemy that isn't human. And the sensual man who feeds her fantasies hides a soul that gives new meaning to animal magnetism.

Eleven Gods of the Night...
The only creatures more deadly are the ones they've been summoned to destroy.
