What a pleasant surprise "Italian Stallions" was. This book contains two connected stories by two different authors. Each story has a different 'feel' to it, but I must confess Jami Alden's story had me teary-eyed.

"In His Bed" by Karin Tabke. Gianna just buried her father and her mother disappeared years ago. When she's approached by a slimy ganster to 'settle her father's debts', she scared and pissed. Her cousin insists she needs attitude...and to dump her 'Madonna' nickname and image. Gianna goes a bit further than she or her cousin intended!

Gabriel is working undercover. When Gianna becomes tangled up in his investigation, he just can't quite manage to keep his hands, or mouth, off her.

"Will That Be All?" by Jami Alden. Theresa has come home. She finally wised up and left her drug-addicted, abusive boyfriend in New York. Now she's determined to turn her life around and regain the respect she lost for herself. When a gorgeous gazillionaire hires her to be his dog nanny, she's determined to fight their attraction with all her might. Because he could never forgive the things she did to survive in NY...could he?

This is probably the best Aphrodisia book I've read. Both stories, but especially Alden's, have meaning beyond 'insert tab A in slot B'. Definitely worth the read. ( )

The swagger. The sensuality. Ya gotta love `em. The hottest heroes are Italian-American, and every woman knows it...

In His Bed Karin Tabke

Intense and darkly handsome, Gabriel LaMotta is working an undercover FBI investigation in San Francisco--and he's making the mob real nervous. Tough luck. They can't hide inside a club full of pole-dancing babes. But Gabe would like to know what a demure, soft-spoken beauty like Gia Cipriani is doing there. But first he has to rescue her. Then he'll ask the questions. And when they get behind closed doors, a high-octane attraction turns into blazing, soul-shattering sex. Gia may look innocent, but she sure knows how to show her appreciation--and set him on fire...

Will That Be All? Jami Alden

Vince Mattera clawed his way up from poverty to the top of the financial heap in San Francisco. The hedge fund he manages is making millions. But he still eats at the same little Italian restaurant where he always ate. The marinara is homemade, the food is real, and it doesn't hurt that the owner just hired a spicy little brunette. But smart-mouthed Theresa Bellessi is a whole lot more than a waitress--she's a goddess. And Vince intends to sexually worship every inch of her glorious, soon-to-be-naked body. Check, please...
