Much like Chris Van Allsburg's "The 'Z' was Zapped," this is a book that travels through the alphabet giving us words that start with every letter along the way. This is a great book for beginning readers. The characters in this book are very Seuss like - with the big eyes and elongated necks and disproportionate bodies. The characters are always full of life and energy which is there to make reading fun. ( )

This is the first book I ever remember reading! In fact, I read this book so much that I memorized it and still remember it today!!

"Big A little a, what begins with A? Aunt Annie's Alligator ... A a A" ( )

This is a great book for students who are learning their alphabets. This beginner book has several illistreations for the letters in the alphabet. Dr. Seuss does a great job at focusing on words that correspond to the alphabets on each page.

A B C by Dr. SUesss is a good beginner book. This is an alphabet book. It goes over big A's and little a's and things that start with A. It does this with every letter. There are also really good pictures to go along with this book. This book is a kindergarten or 1st grade level and is an easy read for these students. There are also many activities you could do with this book. As i have said before, i love Dr. Suess books and i think they are great books to have.

Dr. Seuss’s ABC book by Dr. Seuss is an alphabet book suitable for four and five year old children. Each page features a letter of the alphabet with illustrations. For example, “Big H little h Hungry Horse hay and Big L little l Little Lola Lopp. Left leg, Lazy lion licks a lollipop. Some of the pages have questions and exclamation points, but most are just statements with periods.
There are several websites that have information about Dr. Seuss. The one that I determined to be the official site is www.seussville.com. The site is illustrated with Dr. Seuss characters from his books and movies. There is even a link to some home movies about Dr. Seuss. There is a complete listing of all of his books and games that correlate with some of the books. For example, there is a game featuring Sam-I-Am.

Book description
In classic Seuss style, the alphabet is presented here in perfectly-metered rhyming verse with funny and easily recognizable illustrations. Best pages: X is very useful if your name is Nixie Knox. It also comes in handy spelling ax and extra fox. While Z is made up (Zizzer-Zazzer-Zuzz), it's a perfect Seussism and, in my opinion, forgivable.
