Das Buch fokussiert sehr stark auf die Unterschiede zwischen Katalonien und Spanien, Barcelona und Madrid, etc. Es war interessant und sicher eine gute Vorbereitung auf meinen geplanten Urlaub, aber nicht so sehr ein Einblick eines Insiders, wie ich es mir gewünscht hätte. Der Autor ist schließlich auch ein Deutscher in Barcelona mit internationalem Feundeskreis und kein Spanier. Einerseits fällt ihm dadurch sicherlich vieles auf, was Spaniern/Katalaniern selbstverständlich erscheint, andererseits fehlt eben dieser Einblick. Vielleicht ist das aber auch ein romantischer Wunschgedanke von mir, das "echte" lesen zu wollen.
