A little boy hears a strange noise in the middle of the night. He thinks it might be a dinosaur or a lawn mower, but it is just his dad snoring! ( )

The little boy wakes up in the middle of the night to hear a strange noise. He looked everywhere and couldn't find it. Till finally he enters his parents room and finds the noise to be coming from his father snoring. I loved the pictures in this story. I also enjoyed the loops the sound makes with the words. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0375810528, Hardcover)

Beautiful illustrations accompany a spare text about a boy who hears a noise and bravely sets out to discover its source. Although he imagines terrible monsters (rendered in detailed black-and-white spreads that rival Chris Van Allsburg’s work) the scary noise ends up being his father’s snores! An ultimately comical fantasy from an exciting new talent.
