I thought that this book was very sweet and very good for a few reasons. First, I thought that the illustrations accompanied the details of the text nicely, and that everything mentioned was presented in a bright, welcoming way. I also thought that the story line was unique for younger readers, being that it was about a mother telling her daughter, Hannah, about the summer she was pregnant with her. I thought this was a great perspective for children to see. I thought that the language was very detailed but in a way that made the experience seem very pleasant and appreciated. Overall, the main idea of this story is about bringing a new member into the family and the way families prepare for that and love their new child. Although it is an older book, it is still relevant to young readers now.
