For a much younger audience this was a quick and fun little read. A tale of 'who done it?' style. It touches on not assuming and being able to ask tough questions. ( )

This is a modern fantasy book about a group of animals who go searching for the animal that ate all of the cookie dough. After asking each animal in a fun way that children could chant along to, the animals discover it was the baby kangaroo, who was hiding, that ate the cookie dough.

I think this is a great book for young readers. It is similar to the old chant along who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? The writing is lyrical, with familiar repeating patterns, and is perfect for reading aloud. The illustrations are also adorable and the animals facial expressions add to the growing mystery. The big picture is that the simple answer is sometimes right under your nose! ( )
