We chose this dictionary as a reference for our children (entering 4th grade). It's a small-format and fairly readable dictionary including Canadian spelling and usage. At 5" x 7" and about 2" thick, it's a reasonable size to keep on a table in the living room, for the children to look up new words as they read more juvenile fiction and longer novels. Suitable for elementary school and high school students, with clear print, not too lengthy definitions, and the key words bolded in blue to help search more quickly. Contains "125,000 words, phrases and definitions, including over 800 uniquely Canadian words and senses, and dependable guidance on Canadian spellings." ( )
