In December 1996, the Commonwealth Minister for Environment launched the Australian Natural Heritage Charter. The charter was finalised after two years of extensive community consultation, funded by the Australian Heritage Commission. As part of that broad discussion and research, it was determinied that supplementary examples, explanations and advice would help people wishing to apply the charter to particular projects or conservation programs. Consequently, this handbook has been developed. It is based on the same ethos as the charter. No library descriptions found. |
