Me talk pretty one day sounds like a good title for Dubya's memoirs. I thought the funniest Sedaris book was the one about living in France and taking French lessons (Me talk pretty one day). The chapter on having a religious discussion in pidgin French left me in tears from laughter.

It's just as hilariously perverse and sometimes deeply moving. Yet it has a more mature tone, as if he's learned to relax more, admit his faults, and ... ... next day or so -- since they're pretty heavily wishlisted, I figured I'd give the group first chance on them:

I'm still working on In the Land of Invisible Women by Qanta Ahmed, Don Quixot ... I like your review of Me talk pretty one day, I saw my library has a Dutch translation, so I put it in my little notebook. ... years ago? He sits between fiction and non fiction in that he writes about his life and family but in a witty and humorous way and uses ... ... me in the LOVE Sedaris camp. I first heard him on This American Life years and years ago and it was love at first listen. Me Talk Pretty One Day was the first book by him I read and I faithfully read each one he comes out with.
I gave History of Love a go and couldn't finish it. I found ... I don't find David Sedaris especially funny and I had to fake it at a book club meeting on Me Talk Pretty One Day. Everyone else was laughing hysterically and I couldn't even crack a smile. I hear he's funnier to listen to.

Currently I am halfway through Me talk pretty one day by David Sedaris. I am actually juggling two books at once: Natasha and other stories by David Bezmozgis and Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris and I am halfway through both the books. ... devoted herself to yanking out healthy molars or performing unwanted clitoridectomies on the schoolgirls of Africa.
From Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris ... and it was fun but on stage the jokes lacked the punch they have on paper. It was more cute than hilarious.
I'm reading Me Talk Pretty One Day right now and loving it. Naked is also hilarious. ... Diaries is worth it, I just think nothing can compare to him reading his own material.
I think my favorite of his is Me Talk Pretty One Day. I'm waiting for him to come out with another one. ... a great writer with an awesome sense of humor. I haven't heard anything live, but I'd like to.
My favorite was either Me Talk Pretty One Day or Naked. There was a line in one of his essays that won me over for sure, something along the lines of:
"I wanted to go someplace exotic, like T ... ... a flight to Los Angeles from the east coast. It was very readable, but not nearly as uproariously, irresistably funny as Me talk Pretty One Day. Nonetheless, the last quarter of the book (filled with stories about Sedaris's younger brother, the Rooster) made me laugh so hard that my fellow ... ... and have already laughed several times in the first three essays. It is not yet as unstintingly funny as the sublime Me Talk Pretty One Day, but it has plenty of time to get there, and I have heard that it proves to me more subtle and complex than his previously collections (some ... Ex Libris - loved it.

Last week I wrapped up his other book, Me Talk Pretty One Day, which was also a very good read. I'm reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, and it's histerical. It's kind of a stepping stone memoir though his life to present (not that he's very old). His dry style of approaching life, and constant obsession with cigarettes, dead things, and other unusual stuff is great. If ... ... particularly World's End, as well as his short story collections too, but I recommend you take a look at his new one Talk Talk, totally unputdownable and exciting from beginning to end, and also check out his novel The Inner Circle, a story about the 'private' lives of a group of Kinsey ... ... I hadn't had the guidance of a very excellent Spanish lit professor along the way. I also laughed quite a lot while reading Me Talk Pretty One Day, The Princess Bride, and Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book. Without a doubt, my favorite is Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. The essay entitled Jesus Shaves is SO funny. I copied it and sent it to everyone I know.
A recent find was Alice, I Think by Susan Juby. I was in the eye doctor's waiting room, doubled over laughing. It's a YA ... ... to be posting really heavy stuff so I'll start to lighten up by claiming Running with Scissors, Devil in the Details, Me Talk Pretty One Day although it's a series of essays rather than a memoir per se but still true life stuff. I have to stand by James Frey and Million Little Pieces ... ... just a general list. Sort of a nice way to introduce ourselves.
