I know he has many books out, and, because I have the attention span of a short-tailed shrew, I have to ask this question: "What is his funniest work?" ... still has laugh-out-loud passages and good portions of the quirky Sedaris family. Readers who enjoyed his French lessons in Me Talk Pretty One Day, will like his Japanese lessons here.

You might also like some non-fiction, David Sedaris for example. My favorite is Me Talk Pretty One Day. ..it's hysterically funny. I also hear good things about the new book Things I've Learned from Women Who've Dumped Me edited by Ben Karlin. David Sedaris! David Sedaris! The second half of Me Talk Pretty One Day made me look seriously weird because I couldn't stop laughing in public.
Jasper Fforde is also great. I know both he and Sedaris were mentioned above, but they're worth bringing up again.

That's information I'd like to capture along with the more-obvious multi-author ... For the most part a single author collection like Me Talk Pretty One Day could just have the stories entered in the description field. It would be nice if the description field didn't auto-format everything as a paragraph. ... differentiate between single-author short story collections and multiple author collections. Thoughts: A series of short autobiographical pieces, this book has the ... For all of you polyglots or anyone that's ever taught EFL, I reccomend Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. The chapter where he tries to explain the Easter bunny to his classmates is particularly funny. 2007, I picked 150 books to read. However, the last Harry Potter book completely ruined things for me and I had to desire to pick up another book until recently. Now I am going to reread David Sedaris's Me Talk Pretty One Day. Very funny! ... Thousand Splendid Suns better than The Kite Runner! I found it very difficult to put down.
Now I am going to reread Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. It still makes me laugh out loud.
Book Count: 9 The first half of Me Talk Pretty One Day kind of made me wonder what everyone was on about, but the second half just about killed me. I had some definite issues with public laughter while I was reading it.
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason really made me laugh in places. Her Christmas ... I'd say either Me Talk Pretty One Day or Naked. Funniest Non-Fiction: Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris had me in stitches even in the aftermath of 9/11.
Funniest Fiction: I just about peed my pants reading Bridget Jones's Diary when it came out and cringed when they made it into a movie.
And honorable mention to Ruth Reichl's Te ... I finished Me Talk Pretty One Day over the weekend, it was fantastic and funny.
Since then I've been listening to a compilation of podcasts from The Story: Ahmed's Diary by Ahmed Abdullah, an Iraqi journalist living in Baghdad and reporting on ... ... know I can plow through.

The Pokey Little Puppy :) ... 40. Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Audio. Sedaris is hysterical! I love listening to him read his books, his voice has just the right tone of satire for the reading. I have several more of his books on iPod and can't wait to get to the next one.
