One of a great series where a rabbit, bird and mouse (or is it a rat?) show young readers the joys of machines accompanied by rhyming prose. While these pictures are definately NOT to scale, and it is a bit disappointing to see that the characters have no qualms jettisoning space junk, these things are hardly likely to disturb littlies. Rockets have power. They rise and roar. This rocket's waiting, ready to soar. Rockets carry astronauts with cool, white suits oxygen helmets and gravity boots. Blast off with more out-of-this-world couplets! This time it is machines that fly. In bright and bold illustrations that are as witty as the text, the animal crew roars and whizzes into outer space.
