This really could have been better. Lots of things left out and altered from the movie. Nothing major but as a fan I found it a bit offensive. Conversations were half copied and half created, the race was made WAY too simplistic, even for children. To me, books like this should leave one wanting to see the movie. This one had me wanting to avoid it. Not too bad for a young child but not for fans. For a kid too impatient to watch the podrace scene, the can read the mini, less action-filled version. ( )
