This picture book by Steve Metzger teaches young readers about different kinds of trees that the children from the book encounter as they go on their leaf hunt. Its illustrations are bright, as it features colorful leaves and contains a fall theme. It has rhythmic and repetitive words which help enhance children’s phonological awareness. A small group of students go on an adventure them brings many challenges along with it. While searching for a leaf they run into certain places like a cold lake, waterfall, through a forest, and even a large hill/mountain. Once they find their leaves it is almost certain what they are going to do, and that's what any young kid is going to do. Make a big pile of leaves and jump into it! no reviews | add a review
