a haunting account by a survivor ( )

So, this book was amazing. It was told so differently than any other holocaust book I've ever read. It's not just told from a historical perspective, it's told from a human perspective. It's told as a story through the eyes and lives of the people there. Unlike other books about the death camps that give facts, dates, names, and occasionally specific quotes from survivors, this book is told from the viewpoint of the people involved. The Nazis, the prisoners, the guards, you get to know everyone's view. It makes Treblinka seem more real to the reader by providing names and personalities to the events and facts. I loved it. ( )
