We also learn more about Arnold Paole, the ancestor of Cheryl. He was taken by a vampire but refused to become his slave. Later he was killed but the story says he did end up becomming a vampire himself. We also follow the side story of young crippled boy Harold Wayne. It seems like his family have tried to kidnap him and the boys want to find out why.
The action is thick and fast and it is slightly less confusing than the first installment. I am interested to read more and am finding I have a soft spot for Charley and Johnny and their devious ways! (
