Before her landmark comic strip "For Better Or For Worse", Lynn Johnston created three cartoon books about various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. The style is clean and effective, and immediately recognizable as the precursor of her later comic strip. I enjoyed the three books so much I gave them to Bruce and Gail on the occasion of her first pregnancy, and so far have only been able to find this one of the three again. If Johnston had never produced her later comic strip, I would still have enjoyed and recommended these three books. ( )
