After completing this book I was left with the impression that the author is a shallow, self centered individual who is perfectly suited for the television industry into which he leapt after passing the bar exam. This book provided a good look at the stresses and trials (no pun intended) of the bar, but the author's subsequent (and barely explained) abrupt departure into a non-legal field left the narrative feeling disconnected and unsatisfactory.
