When her sister is born with Downs Syndrome, she must realize that they won't be able to do all of those things, but there are still fun things they can do together and be loving siblings. This is a very positive book that is excellent for a child with a special need-learning to love your sibling no matter what and finding things to do with her has to be one of the hardest parts for any big sister, and this book lovingly shows how to do that. Excellent for read aloud and early readers, up through about 3rd grade. I really like this story. I like how it explains the difficult issue of babies with handicaps, and how it illustrates unconditional acceptance and love. I like how it talks about family relationships, and how beautiful they can be. I also like the extra information in the back on Down Syndrome. I would probably use this for 1st to 3rd grade students. no reviews | add a review

I feel this book can be used by families with down syndrome children. the illustration to me were of a normal baby rather then a baby with down syndrome.
I could teach other children about disabilities and how they can still function with more work.
