The Gods of Amyrantha by Jennifer Fallon

Book three of Mistborn. Wonderful book that pulls together all the threads and characters and brings it all to an interesting end. I got some at the Brandon Sanderson book signing last night, The Hero of Ages and Warbreaker. I also got The Dance of Anger - my therapist recommended it. Hmmm, wonder why?
And I got Alive and Dead - Ferrars, Murder by Decree, and A Lion in the Way from the library book sale.
And ... ... Sanderson and I got a brand new, numbered, autographed copy of Warbreaker! I am so excited! I also got the pb copy of The Hero of Ages and had that signed too.

Now reading Use of Weapons. Picked up Hero of Ages on the final day of our San Diego trip; was beginning to think I'd never find a copy! My partner also got me the current Writer's Digest for the plane, and I'll be subscribing once we get home. Happy birthday to me :) Finishing The Hero of Ages, third part in a fantasy trilogy. I'm more with Busifer. I liked Hero of Ages up until the end, the last chapter or two, something like that. 72. Mistborn: the Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. I really enjoyed the series. Brandon is a great writer as well as a very good story-teller. His characters are vivid and so is the world he builds. The second book was more ... There's a plot summary of the first two books in the back of The Hero of the Ages. I used it to refresh my memory, and it may be enough for you. I started The Hero of Ages yesterday but a few pages in I realized that I had no idea what was going on, I don't remember enough from the first two books. So now I have to reread Mistborn and The Well of Ascension. It's torture, I tell you. I finally finished Hero of Ages. I gave it four stars, but could not read it again any time soon. I feel that I've been put through a wringer. It's a secret Morphy and we don't want you to know. ;)
Hero of Ages
#50 - You're correct of course, but it's still yuck. Hemalurgy I mean. I'm a little more than halfway through The Hero of Ages, by Brandon Sanderson. Amazing. I absolutely love his writing. I'm also working on Dawn on a Distant Shore, the sequel to Into the Wilderness, by Sara Donati. Very different from each other! They provide a nice balance. "Compromises," Elend said. "They only get to do what they want as long as I don't disagree with them."
The Hero of Ages, by Brandon Sanderson. (amazing book) Whoo-hoo! Hero of Ages arrived today! *doing the happy dance*
Hero of Ages arrived! Yay!! Ooooh, I haven't read The Hero of Ages (yet), but I have read Standard Hero Behavior. I have not read The Corpse in the Snowman,
But I have read The Hero of Ages. Hero of Ages has not made it to South Georgia. Daughter finished Hero of Ages, so I'll start that now and set the other two gently aside until finished. Daughter reads much faster than I, so I let her have it first. Well, I would like to know about Hero of Ages, because I'll go buy it if I need to, I just want it. I'll check with Abby about Hero of Ages. Still waiting for The Hero of Ages. I was in Books-A-Million today and saw Hero of Ages on the shelf. *sigh* I didn't buy it. I hope my copy comes soon. I'm still waiting on The Hero of Ages. I hope it comes soon! Has anyone received his/her copy of The Hero of Ages yet? I'm getting anxious! #64 - I only requested Hero of Ages so I wouldn't mess up my chances with anything else. I didn't think I'd get it either because though I had the first two books, I hadn't entered them in my library yet. I did have a couple of other Sanderson books though. Still haven't received it though. :( I The Hero of Ages as a Christmas present, not through Early Reviewers FYI ... in preparation for the third one, which the library just gave me.
I'm so jealous of all of you who managed to snag The Hero of Ages through Early Reviewers. I thought I had a good shot at it, but the system matched me up with a vampire book instead. I am seriously thinking about just buying The Hero of Ages and donating the ARC when it comes. I think I've worn a path to my door checking the porch for the package. I should be finishing The Hero of Ages tonight. I've been really enjoying it. ... :)
Next week I'll start the reread of The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson in anticipation of the ER book, The Hero of Ages. I haven't received The Hero of Ages yet either.
*joins MrsLee in tapping of fingers* ... are not really late yet.
It's just that I've finished the first two books in the Mistborn trilogy and I'm dying to get The Hero of Ages! So really, this isn't a complaint thread, more of a tapping my fingers thread. Sigh. ... I want to read happens to be on the list? For instance, The Hobbit is next on my fantasy pile to reread, unless I receive Hero of Ages before that. Also, I've a huge stack of fantasies to read through in my TBR, so if any of them are on the list, 's O.K. for me to list it here? ... Samuel E. Morison and Behind the Crimson Blind, by Carter Dickson, while I wait not-so-patiently for my ER book, The Hero of Ages. ... Well of Ascension, loved it as much as the first, now I'm tapping my fingers and toes waiting for delivery of my ER book, The Hero of Ages. I don't think I want to know if anyone liked it or not until I've read it though. Hero of the Ages by Brandon Sanderson good start lots of action. #75 - :-) The reason for my saying this about Hero of Ages specifically is that I think he has let his faith colour it, and very much so. Always when I read books like that I wonder what people of faith themselves thinks of such books... #69 - I'd be interested to hear what you think of the last of the Mistborn books, Hero of Ages, when you've finished the series.
Three books so far, all rereads. It wasn't meant that way but I've had an urge for comfort reads. The books have been Finity's End (a planned reread) and then The ... Alcatraz is finished and was excellent, Lies has been superseded by Tales of Beedle the Bard and Hero of the Ages but it will be after those for sure!
Oh and I read a manuscript for someone in there as well. I'll be reading The Tales of Beedle the Bard Just got it in the mail this week. Then I'll be moving on to Hero of the Ages by Brandon Sanderson. I'll take a camera, if I can. And I need to buy Hero of the Ages before I go. ... choice out of the books I applied for. Maybe they took a snapshot of my library even though I joined late in December... Hero of ages by Brandon Sanderson. :) Score! Hero of ages, by Brandon Sanderson. I'm thrilled. He's a local author, and I've got the first two signed. :) I'm getting The Hero of Ages, in case you were wondering which one Espy really wanted. I got The Hero of Ages, too! So stoked!
I think the notifications about the bonus batch were errors...at the bottom of my notification, there was a P.S.:
"P.S. If you received a similar email/comment stating you won the same title w/ but the batch name was 'December bonus' it was sent in ... Happy! I just found out that I'm getting The Hero of Ages by our own Brandon Sanderson from ER! I'm getting The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. I am SO excited!! Re: #2 MuseReader-
Hero of Ages was AMAZING. You are right that it's out here in the US in hardback, and it was killer good. It's nice to meet other Brandon Sanderson fans. Did you participate in the Elantris group read with Brandon we did a year ago here in the GD?

The Hero of Ages -- Latest in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series; very good, but (like most epic fantasy) loooooong.
Wicked Lovely -- I liked this better than most ... "'Compromises,' Elend said. 'They only get to do what they want as long as I…'"
The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson GN: I finished The Hero of Ages last night!
BN: I was up a bit later than I meant to be, so I am very tired this morning.

Along with a signed copy of The Graveyard Book by Gaiman and The Hero of Ages by our own GDer, Brandon Sanderson whom I missed at his book signing last month over at Dark Delicacies (bummer).
eta: For some reason, I'm able to ... I've read Hero of Ages,
but not Bleak House, as I really hate Dickens. I've read The Time Machine
but I have never read Hero of the ages (plan to soon though!) We are a devotedly Sanderson household. My husband and I love his fantasy books. Hero of Ages is wonderful! And my 9 & 8 yr old boys think the Alcatraz books are the funniest things they ever read. They even like them better than Captain Underpants, which is quite the complement. I'm reading The Hero of Ages now. I'm a little wary of the faith stuff Busifer and littlegeek have mentioned, but I hope it's good beyond that. I finished Brandon Sanderson's The Hero of Ages over the weekend, so it's back to A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon, which I'd put down to read the Mistborn book.
I'm also about halfway through listening to Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke, which thus far is pretty fantastic. ... the series (though I admit wasn't thrilled with the way the second book ended) and I was really looking forward to reading Hero of Ages. That is really disappointing to hear.
I just finished The Last Days by Scott Westerfeld. I like it, but I think Peeps (which it is sort of a sequel ... #33 - On Hero of Ages: Yes. Yes. YES. I think he's such a good author but that was really disappointing. I just managed to finish Hero of Ages. Anyone interested in what I though about it can read my review. I'll only say here that I'm in total agreement with Littlegeek on this one.
I now have a mountain of documents to write for work but then I think I'll read Brasyl. I'm aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalmost finished with Hero of Ages. Should have finished it ages ago but the last week I've had 4 days without any opportunity for pleasure reading - too much work to be done.
Possibly I'd had managed to sneak some more reading time in but to be honest while it's not a bad ... I just finished The Hero of Ages and Looking for Alaska, but now I'm reading Touchstone by Laurie R. King.
Maren, how did you like Fingersmith? I loved it! I got Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson and a new copy of Deerskin by Robin McKinley (my old copy is falling to pieces with rereading). ... (almost exactly!) of A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon, but I'm putting that on pause so that I can dive into The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson, which just came in at the library yesterday.
I'm also listening to Mirror, Mirror by Gregory Maguire, which so far is good but ... Busifer, I finished The Hero of Ages. Check out my review.
Not sure what i'll read next. ... during daytime but couldn't because the meeting spectre has kidnapped my calendar. When what I really want to do is reading The hero of ages.

I'm unhappy because I'll not be able to read it instantly! I'm temporarily back in Japan, in medieval times, in Warriors of medieval Japan, while waiting for Hero of Ages to make it's way to my hand. ... effective on their own terms, and the hazy immorality of the world they have to live fits smoothly into the text.
73. The Hero of Ages Brandon Sanderson (Review)
The conclusion to Sanderson's Mistborn series drags a little. He's ... I'm bouncing about the Final Empire with Vin, Elden, and all the rest in The Hero of Ages.
Before that I was on the run from evil librarians with Alcatraz Smedry in Alcatraz versus the Scrivener's Bones. I had thought I'd pick up Hero of Ages from the SF Bookshop today, but apparently they're on TOR's shit list and had no idea when they would stock the book. So despite my intent to support a RL bookshop I ended up ordering it online instead.
I've been looking forward to this one since I finished ... ...
Maybe ;-)
It's listed as in stock at our local SF bookshop, so I plan on picking it up when I fetch my brand new copy of The hero of ages in a few weeks... ... mountain into small hill.
But now it's only a matter of weeks before I get to know what happens to Vin, Elend et al... Hero of Ages is due in October, here!
