Cute little book for anyone who loves trains. I will totally admit that my vocabulary grew with this one. I now know what a semaphore is!!

This one has been the favorite of this series for all three of my kids. ( )

Sorry. It's meant to be informative, but though it pictures a 'sand dome' up near the smokestack, it never hints what that is. I did learn that, apparently, All aboard!" does not mean "Everybody get on board; last chance" as I always thought, but is rather a report to the engineer that "Everyone is aboard!" (If you tell me that indeed I was right all along and Lenski misled me, I'll take another star off my rating!)" ( )

A rather wordy book for being so little... But H enjoyed it and we've read it many times. He especially likes the semaphores and figuring which direction is go, caution and stop. ( )
