We all need to figure out our next steps, whether a first year, sophomore, junior or senior. If you are sure you want to work with film, or you are slightly interested in film, this book will help you to figure out what those next steps could be. What I enjoy most about this book, is that describes the job functions of professionals in the film industry in layman’s terms. As a reader who knows little about the film industry and Hollywood before taking up this book, I enjoyed reading of all the intricate roles that one can play. The book is a fun read that gave me insight into the skills I need to acquire to work as any “Hollywood type” while teaching me the industry’s language. I definitely recommend this book, especially if you don’t know who a Gaffer is and what it takes to be one.
