The Sun by Dan Elish is a book about the Sun. The book starts out with some history about the sun and a theory scientist have on how it was made. This book gives all kinds of information about the sun. It tells of the temperature of the sun, how big it is, and how the sun effects our earth along with lots of other information.

I really liked this book. I find our solar system very interesting. I loved how this pictures in this book are actual photographs. These photos really give you an idea what the sun really looks like and whats happening on the sun.

When scientist are do experiments or sending things up into space to get a closer look at the sun, this would be a great book to read to your class. You could have them do a project constucting our solar system.
