ARC provided by the author

Finn is in Miami on a PI assignment– to dig into the personal life of Roland for a potential suitor. But when Olivia, Roland’s boss, spots Finn staking out her boutique, she approaches him about a photographic project that she wants to undertake.

That is the blurb condensed down to two sentences. Problem is, that’s only half the story. The other half of the story deals with Roland and his life and love interest, Jodi.

I rather wish Finn and Olivia’s romance was explored a little more. Roland and Jodi got a lot more time than I felt a sub-plot (and one that wasn’t even mentioned in the blurb) deserved. Characters, relationship and plot probably could have been developed more if they were given more time and both stories would have excelled if they were given their own books.

All that said, I did like the book. It’s the first full length Alison Kent novel that I’ve read and I’m intrigued and want to read more by her. Word of warning, this a pretty spicy book, so if you don’t like to read about bedroom play, you’ll probably want to pass on by. ( )

I was lucky to receive an ARC (Advanced Reading Copy) of this book from Alison Kent with the understanding that I would review it before it's December release. So, I read it this past week and here are my thoughts...
