Another side-story in the Company-verse, touching on characters and plot points from the novels. This story is told from the POV of a mortal. I did care about the characters in this story, though I wouldn't normally choose to read a story that's as mundanely based as this. I'd probably reread one of the actual Immortal-teeming novels or stories before I'd reread this. ( )
