In this follow up to Plague of the Dead, the survivors of the Morningstar Strain - a virus that causes fever, violent behavior, and death, followed by reanimation - are making their way to Omaha. Home to a top secret government research lab, it was where scientist Anna Demilio was studying the virus before it took over the world. Anna is the only hope left in the world, and former Army general Frank Sherman is doing everything he can to get to the facility, hoping she'll make it there alive. But can he keep him group of survivors alive?

I really enjoy this series. It's fast-paced, with likable (and some unlikable), realistic characters. It's also tense and scary, and the action is fantastic. Definitely recommended for zombie fans! ( )
