This book would be perfect for younger audiences. It explores other well known fairy-tales, and it visually teaches the monster that books are better to read than to eat. My son enjoyed this book. Pop up images are a plus! ( )

This is a cute pop-up book. I think young toddlers would enjoy this book. The book connects the imagination of young children to real life and how reading can be fun. I would recommend this book as a read aloud book to encourage children to read more.

I thought this was a really short and sweet book. This is a picture book containing pop out illtrations. This is a story about a young boy meeting a monster in a library who loves books. ( )

A cute pop-up book about books. A little boy finds a monster eating books and teaches him to enjoy reading them instead of eating them. The book also introduces various genres in the text; however the language of the book did not flow very well.

Genre: Fiction
Age(s): 5-9 ( )

This is a very charming book about books. A boy runs into a Monster in the library. The monster is eating a book and the little boy shows him that books are so much more than food, but for learning and adventure. Then it turns out the boy was the one on the adventure, reading a story about a monster who loved to eat books. ( )
