Suspense thriller. Quick easy read. A poor man's Dean Koontz. ( )

A nasty prurience and formulaic prose almost caused me to abandon this novel introducing an honourable cop in the corrupt world of Triadic Hong Kong but I found myself engaging with the hero and some of the victims. The author may claim that Hong Kiong is a village but the level of coincidence and interconnection upon which the plot depends is to high to be credible and most of the characters incline to caricature.
