Work detailsHarry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J. K. Rowling (1997)
Twelve years after it's publication I have finally read Harry Potter! This is a wonderful tale of good vs. evil, adventure and mystery. Rowling spins a wonderful tale by creating a world of creatures and possibilities that I could not have imagined. This is indeed a must read for every child. It speaks of friendship, honor, respect, and education. ( )This book was one of the first real books I ever read, and it made me fall in love with reading forever. A definite must-read for every child! Harry Potter made my days wonderful and magical. This is a great chapter book that could help inspire students to write more detailed stories. The Harry Potter series is a must read for students. The first book in the series is about a boy who learns that he is a wizard. He learns of their world and goes to their school and becomes involved in their life. These books have gotten so many students to read who otherwise would not have been interested.
On the whole, ''Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone'' is as funny, moving and impressive as the story behind its writing. J. K. Rowling, a teacher by training, was a 30-year-old single mother living on welfare in a cold one-bedroom flat in Edinburgh when she began writing it in longhand during her baby daughter's nap times. But like Harry Potter, she had wizardry inside, and has soared beyond her modest Muggle surroundings to achieve something quite special. The light-hearted caper travels through the territory owned by the late Roald Dahl, especially in the treatment of the bad guys — they are uniformly as unshadedly awful as possible —but the tone is a great deal more affectionate. A charming and readable romp with a most sympathetic hero and filled with delightful magic details. Dragones y Monstruos Is contained inHarry Potter Box Set (Books 1-3) by J. K.
