The Bedford Guide for College Writers by X.J. Kennedy et. al. was published in several configurations. The most complete guide contains three suppliments to the main book and is considered to be like an omnibus edition contianing four books. Editions containing only the Bedford Guide plus the Reader section should be combined here. These editions contain approximately 160 pages more than the editions with no supplimental material, but approximately 166 pages less than the editions containing all three supplimental sections and are substantially different from editions containing the reader section plus the research manual or reader plus writer's handbook.

The lack of any of the three suppliments makes that edition considerably different than one which contains all four or any specific three books.
