In Cowboy a country music singer known as 'Ashton Raines' (who is a widower and sick of the lime light and emptiness) stops into this little diner in nowhereville and Beth the waitress gives him a cup of coffee. She gets the feeling he's down on his luck so she brings him a plate of food and said it was on her and she talks to him a bit. She is a widow with a daughter and barely making ends meet. She doesn't recognize him because she's not really into country music and the name he gives her is Timothy (his real first name). She gives him her phone number and tells him to call if he needs to talk to someone. He is so impressed by her kindness that he finally does call her and that kind of starts a friendship. (She knows his job takes him on the road so a lot of the 'relationship' is established by phone calls). He realizes that she doesn't have a lot of money so he begins doing a few things for her here and there. It's neat to watch the friendship grow. He knows he needs to tell her who he is but never can quite find a good time. And what will happen when she does find out who he is?.... ( )
