This book is about kids in the library picking out books. Cam, Jason, and Eric were picking out books when Cam found a mystery book called Blueberries on the Loose. Cam read the book so much that it became embedded in her mind like a photographic memory. With the "CLICK" of her brain, Cam was able to remember. Later Cam and Eric went to the grocery store with Cam's father who had misplaced the shopping list. Cam tried to remember the grocery list with her photographic memory, but couldn't remember the entire list. So, they retraced their steps all the way back to the library. Thanks to context clues Cam's father had given her, she was able to find the grocery list in the library.
This book focuses on memory and trying to remember things. It can teach kids how to retrace their steps and find out solutions to different problems. There isn't many chapters so children won't lose concentration when reading. ( )

Young Cam Jansen has a very special mind that allows her to take mental pictures of everything she can see. When her father loses his shopping list, Cam uses her mental picture to remember where her dad has put it. This is a good book for silent reading grades 2nd through 5th. ( )

My daughter picked this book and loved it. She is learning to read, and this was fun for her. She likes how Cam can remember things and solve problems. She could relate to the story in the library, because we go every week. She liked how the Dad was sitting there reading and letting them look around.
