While one trained formally in logic and philosophy MIGHT HAVE EXPECTED discourse on argument and problems of 'authority' in modernity, this text focused on social perspectives on whether or not the person's even existing is 'legitimate' based entirely upon the 'conditions of (her/his) birth' (thus, one thinks of the focus in the Gospel of Luke upon the conditions of the birth of Jesus - the political economy, the social relations of the various persons involved and at hand, etc. The topic leads to lots of preaching material, and the 2-page conclusion at the end summmarizes well the author's view of the subjects she had addressed in the book.
