I've recently finished Tears of the Desert: A Memoir of Survival in Darfur by Halima Bashir Nickelini, I've just finished Tears of the Desert. I think Halima Bashir has shown great courage throughout her life, as a young girl leaving her village to study at the "big school" and eventually the university, despite facing some discrimination. Deadline? There's a deadline? How can there be a deadline when some books (from what I hear; Tears of the Desert will be my first ER book!) take so much longer than others to arrive? I'm getting Tears of the Desert. Not the one I would have chosen, but considering I own Infidel and Angelina Jolie's Notes From My Travels, it's not really surprising I suppose. I'm getting Tears of the Desert too. I just found out I'll be getting Tears of the Desert by Halima Bashir from the LT early reviewers program. I'm excited - this one really caught my attention. Oooh, I'm getting Tears of the Desert: A Memoir of Survival in Darfur. That is very exciting.
