A surprisingly good urban fantasy novel. Day, thankfully, doesn't overwhelm the reader with a bunch of useless exposition about the workings of her ... 37. Eve of Darkness by S.J. Day (344 p.) -- "For Evangeline Hollis, a long-ago fling with a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks just became a disaster of biblical proportions. One night with a leather-clad mand of mystery has led to a divine punishment: the mark of Cain. Thrust into a world ... Almost there - but I'm still having problems with Eve of Darkness. It shows that I've received the book, but doesn't show that I've reviewed the book (which I have) - and it doesn't have the "Write a Review" link. And, the cover is still wrong.
Thanks, Luke for all your work! OK - my info on Eve of Darkness is still wrong. Not only is it showing the wrong cover, now it's showing that I haven't reviewed the book. I went to the record and "edited" the review, but that didn't change anything. I am also missing the book from the June round, Sworn to Silence, but maybe ... My list looks right, but the cover for Eve of Darkness is REALLY wrong. It's a subpar image so I can't see what the title is. Clicking on the wrong cover takes you to the right book. I don't see that wrong cover as an option on the work page. Maybe it's a combining issue? 17. Eve of Darkness by S.J. Day - S. J. Day builds an interesting world in Eve of Darkness, one peopled with Heaven's angels and the demons of Hell. It's interesting to see heavenly beings with human failings - but sometimes it's a little difficult to believe that this is how God's army would ... I've almost finished Eve of Darkness - an LTER book. It's an interesting world Day is building. I'm reserving complete judgment until I finish, but I'm enjoying this so far. 5/1/09-5/31/09:

A helpful soul opened my mail today, so I don't know where it was sent from or what it was sent ... Is it too soon to ask about Eve of Darkness? Eve of Darkness here. I am MAJORLY pumped - dark, urban fantasy is my favorite genre right now.
