Overall, I felt that this book is very informative. I learned a lot about George Washington that i didn't already know. For example, I did not know that he grew up on a farm called Little Hunting Creek. I was also a big fan of the illustrations. The cover and the pages are very colorful, which are very appealing to children at first look. The colorful pages are one of the reasons that I decided to read this story. The one problem I had with this book is that for a picture book it is really wordy. A picture book with all those words could turn off a child who isn't really big on reading. If the student was anything like I was as a student, they might not want to read this story at first glance. If the child does get a chance to read, I do feel that they will like it a lot. ( )
