I enjoyed this book for a few reasons. I am Christian and celebrate Christmas, so although I already knew the information I was reading, it was still told very well and was engaging. I enjoyed the writing in the book because it was just like hearing the story told in the bible, but in simpler words so that it was easier to understand. Instead of including scripture bible verses to show the story, it was told in paragraph form, which I think young readers understand it better. For example, the books uses simpler words such as at last, and gathering, where as in the bible, the wording is harder to understand. I also enjoyed the illustrations in the book because even if the story was hard to follow for some readers, the illustrations help paint a picture of what is happening. My favorite was on the last page where the picture shows people gathered around Jesus
