I couldn't find a way to give no stars or I would have. Until I read the author bio I thought this book was written by a young teenager. The spelling, syntax, and grammar would have earned an F in my classes and the storyline was just confusing. I finally gave up 2/3 of the way through because I just couldn't keep going. It now holds the dubious distinction of being the first book in years I just could not finish! ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0973875216, Paperback)

Mira Samson is not any ordinary vampire. She is a human-wanna-be that is trying to adjust from living in the Darkside and her new modern day life as a newspaper reporter. MIRA SAMSON loves her Darkside but has a deeper calling to live above with the mortals. She has been granted her wish by the MASTER of this Darkside that has raised her since she was two, but holds the key to her past; a past he doesn't want her to discover. She has been issued help by her gay best friend, IVAN, which is a vampire element that turns into a frisky cat. But what is the real reason for Ivan to be played between both worlds? Mira is excited to start her new life and moves into her new house. Her next door neighbor, TODD BURNSTON, a sexy herbalist by day and vampire hunter by night is picking up her scent. He is determined to uncover her true identity while she is on a hunt for his past, a past that has three wives with mysterious outcomes and holds a key element to her past. Mira can not let him take away the life she has been wanting for years. A life that she knows has a missing link to her past, even if it means having her friends from the Darkside mix with her modern day friends. Will she have to kill Todd to save her dreams? Or will Todd kill her first? Both their worlds are overlapping with passion, betrayal, and death.
