Landon Harris is just about to divorce his second wife and lose Ryan––a stepson that he and his own son Robbie love and can't imagine living without. So when the unexpected opportunity arises to adopt the boy, Landon jumps at the chance. It's a remote possibility. Diana––angry and fickle––could easily change her mind; her dad could black her decision, and the court might not consider letting a divorced man adopt the child. The prospect of having a family again leads Landon to evaluate his past. He becomes interested in spiritual things, begin searching for a church, and discovers love, meaning, and peace in his Bible. Finding a caring friend in his heavenly father, he turns to God for help with securing Ryan.Everything works out fine until Landon attends a Seventh-day Adventist church and is faced with the hardest choice of his life. If he follows his convictions to be baptized, he might jeopardize Ryan's adoption––Diana's dad will almost certainly object to his grandson being raised in Adventist. And Joetta might cut his visitation time with Robbie. Will putting God first ruin all hope of them being together? Or can he trust God with the people he loves most?
