Eleanor Burns has a series on her television program that are dedicated to the 1940's and World War II. This book has the directions for 20 different quilt blocks that can be used in quilts of your own choice. All are either old designs from the time period or are inspired by these designs. Her use of charts for different quilt sizes makes it easy to gather all the material you need for the size quilt of your choice. The directions are clearly written and she has ranked each block by level of expertise, one star being easiest and four stars for the expert quilter. ( )
