Excellent summary of current world views using human systems theory. Applies Third Order Theory and complementation. Note: Holon--Koestler; Time--Fraser; System--Lazlo. Integrates evolutionary dynamics with metapattern structures (holonics), and moves seamlessly through "mind systems" to Consciousness. Excellent chapter on "concrete systems", then ends on Big Picture and Taxonomies, leaving us with ideas for experimentation and further development. An Epilogue is entitled "Emergent Tao", which I have not yet read.
