#205 Linda: Owen Meany is my all-time favorite book too. Twisted River has quite few echoes ... ... River. I think John Irving fans will love it and others will be scratching their heads in confusion after reading it.
The White Mary looks wonderful. It is not often that I so want to read an unknown (to me) book on a recommendation. I guess that means I trust you as a reader. :-) Have ... ... IT. I guess it just goes to show that it can be worthwhile to reread even things you THINK you're going to hate.

Yah, that was my mistake. I already wrote the post for when The Gargoyle, The 19th Wife and The White Mary come out next Tuesday, and I got it mentally confused with my post for The Last Queen and The Lace Reader today. My last review was for The White Mary by Kira Salak. You can read the review here. I'm rather conflicted about this book. I wish I could have given it a better review, because there were parts of this ... I have reviews for The White Mary and Kaimira: The Sky Village up on my blog.

This is so true of The White Mary! But it is her first fiction effort and I hope she writes more - just without the romance.
I thought The White Mary cover was all right, but I loved The Gargoyle cover. Somehow, I received two of The Gargoyle, the second after I had read the book already. I gave that copy to my daughter, and was interested to note that it had a little different cover than mine. The first copy I ... >52
You're not alone. I quite like the cover of The White Mary. My most recent reviews were of The White Mary and Superdove, both of which I found enjoyable but not amazing.
