Being a transitional record in which Dylan's approach spans his acoustic beginnings (side 2) and shows off his incipient electric leanings (side 1). The under-appreciated "Bob Dylan's 112th Dream" is my highlight from this, though the magnificent poetry of "Mr. Tambourine Man" is certainly not to be overlooked, nor is single "Tombstone Blues" to be missed. The acoustic side has a bit of a clunker sandwiched in between "Tambourine Man" and closer "It's All Over Now Baby Blue", but otherwise this record approaches perfection. ( )
