Just finished K. J. Parker's 'Shadow'; a darkly satirical mundane fantasy that might appeal to fans of Joe Abercrombie and Richard Morgan. Now reading Greg Keyes' The Charnel Prince; a standard high fantasy story given freshness by very lyrical writing and strong characters. Isn't KJ Parker's The Company a fantasy novel?
