This is also a great book for young children. I love all of the Clifford books. In this one, Clifford goes around playing with his dog friends and getting into mischieve. Clifford helps his friends escape from the pound and they help him get free from the net. This book teaches them about friendship and getting along with each other.

I have always loved Clifford. I like it because there are books and a tv show. After reading this book, you could ask your class what are all the dangerous things Clifford and his pals did and make a list of them to make sure they were paying attention. ( )

Clifford’s pals decide to play in a construction site, and Clifford goes with them to not look like a coward. They break a good deal of equipment and cause a lot of trouble. When Clifford’s pals are taken prisoner, he rescues them, and the same in reverse. They decide never to play in a construction site again. ( )
