I finished Far World: Water Keep and Strangers in Company today. The first was a decent YA fantasy; the second a decent mystery on audiobook. Not sure what's next.

Are you sure it is a man? That sounds vaguely like Farworld , but protagonist there is like 13 or something (although also male).
My favorites:
The Translator: A Tribesman's Memoir of Darfur
The Good Thief
Farworld: Water Keep
Alive and Well in Prague, New York
Honeymoon in Tehran
And I did like Heretic's Daughter as well, but I figured I'd give some shoutouts to some that haven't been mentioned.

I thought the exact same thing with the opening to Farworld . I can't wait for the next one, and the first one hasn't even been officially released yet!

And look at you zipping past me! I think I need to get my act together and read more this week!

Oh and (like everyone else) I'll be having J. Scott Savage on my blog for the Farworld virtual tour.
What kind of books are you offering?
I read basically all of Farworld yesterday, 403 of the 418 pages (the first 13 I read on Monday). I liked it a lot, and getting it done so soon made me feel a little better about all the books I have to read this month.
I'm still working on Sweetsmoke, but I've started One More Year as ...
I really got down to reading Farworld yesterday and was totally captivated, read the entire 400 pages (it is young adult and a quick read).
Since I didn't think I could read a little bit of Sweetsmoke right before bed, I decided to go ahead and begin One More Year. These debut short ...
I'm working on an ARC of J. Scott Savage's new book Farworld . Eventually I'll have a review, author interview, and book giveaway on my blog .
... near-bibliomergency this morning. I started Farworld just before bed last night, then started my July ER book Sweetsmoke at lunch. Both are very promising so far.
Well, after finishing Superdove and Stealing Athena this weekend I started Farworld last night...and promptly left it at home today, in a near-bibliomergency . Luckily, 6 books came in the mail today, including my J ...
Since I didn't have any entries in my Pirate Poetry contest to give away a copy of Far World: Water Keep , I decided to scrap that contest in favor of a simpler one: just getting people to blog about it.
